XTR3D Returns to GDC to Meet with Developers and Preview the New 3D Motion Capture Developers Kit Featuring a Remote Touch-Free Software Interface to Create Motion Games

XTR3D Software for Developers Enriches Games / Applications and Augments Smart Devices with Motion to Create a Next Generation Gesture Control User Experience

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 6, 2012-- XTR3D, an Israel-based 3D Motion Capture company, will meet with developers this week at GDC (Booth #308) to preview its 3D Motion Capture & Gesture Control Developers Kit. Developers will be given an opportunity to try XTR3D onsite and leave with a preview version of the Android and Windows Developers Kit to test with their own games and applications.

"XTR3D believes a software solution for motion capture and gesture control will replace today's hardware implementation, which is why we've begun working with game and application developers directly to provide our 3D Motion Capture & Gesture Control Developers tool kit," said XTR3D CEO, Elad Dubzinski.

XTR3D is a software-based interface which liaises between XTR3D-enabled games / applications and camera-equipped consumer electronic devices to enrich games and applications with motion for a robust, natural, next generation gesture control user experience.

XTR3D software is unique in its ability to render 3D skeleton motion capture, using high resolution 3D body movement analysis in real time, augmenting Android and Windows-powered Smart TVs, camera-enabled PCs and consumer electronics into touch-free gesture control devices with a control range of up to 17 feet.

“In addition to the XTR3D 3D Motion Capture & Gesture Control Developers Kit we will have available for developers who come to booth 308 for a demo at GDC, we will also be launching a developer community with XTR3D support to better enable the use of motion capture and gesture control in applications and games,” said XTR3D Founder & CTO, Dor Givon.

XTR3D’s ease of use and multi-platform implementation provides application and game developers SDKs to integrate gesture control directly into their applications and games, while also enabling the game and application creators to easily design a distinct set of gestures.

  •  XTR3D patented 3D Motion Capture software interacts with standard 2D cameras commonly found on today’s Android and Windows Smart TVs, PCs, Laptops and Tablets (no separate equipment purchases required).
  • XTR3D provides application and game developers simple-to-use SDKs to enhance the user / gamer experience.
  • XTR3D enables consumer electronics OEM and Chipset providers an optimized and integrated remote touch-free software interface to differentiate their offering.

XTR3D’s 3D Motion Capture & Gesture Control Developers Kit, complete with XTR3D support, provides developers with a software-based preview version of the XTR3D tool kit to create gesture control functionality in games and applications. Because XTR3D is a software interface, no additional equipment is required. XTR3D simply interacts with the built-in camera on Android and Windows Smart devices.
